A.J. Eastwood Library
Distance Learners
It is the wish of the Eastwood Library to provide all
Limestone Students with the services that are needed.
Electronic Databases and books can
be accessed from off-campus by logging in with your
Limestone College email username and password. Students
are instructed to access the "Student
Password Kiosk" link
to find their information or to reset their password if necessary.
New
student accounts may take several days to be created and information
may not be found through the Kiosk link. Students are advised
to contact the Limestone College help desk at helpdesk@limestone.edu
for password help or the library at library@limestone.edu for
help accessing databases or ebooks. |
| Library material for students not
taking classes on the Gaffney campus will be sent to the student's
home address. Fill out the ILL Loan Request
form. Material not available in the library will be requested
from other libraries through Interlibrary Loan (ILL). The College
Library will send articles first class and books by 3-day delivery.
Books should be returned to the library by the date due. A
one week notice is required to renew any ILL books. |
| Statewide Borrowing Cards to use
at other South Carolina colleges are available for the term of a
course. The Statewide Borrowing Card and a Limestone College
ID are required. To obtain a borrowing card email the library
at library@limestone.edu
with your name, student ID number, and colleges to be used. |
| Other Libraries: Time and distance
makes the use of other libraries appealing. Local libraries can
provide the remote learner with an atmosphere conducive to studying,
reference material (both paper and online), and Internet access.
It is recommended that off-campus students obtain library cards
to an academic library near them. Check the Gaslight Student Handbook
for information on libraries near you. If a community borrowing
card is purchased, send in the receipt to the AJ Eastwood Library,
Limestone College, 1115 College Drive, Gaffney, SC 29340, for reimbursement
(maximum of $25 per year). |
